Suspiria, the 1977 Italian horror masterpiece, from director Dario Argento, was of significant importance to the photoset. The iconic 'Suspiria Red' (sampled from direct screen captures of the film) was used as background for the images in the photoset. I also used Suspiria as a starting point and great inspiration behind the development of the thematic presence of The Black Mass Collection. Suspiria is as much a film as it is a bizarre, mind bending experience. Hysteria builds throughout the film, much like I imagine it did in Medieval Europe and later, Puritanical America during the Salem Witch Trials.
